Claude connector app: Chatty — Privacy Policy

Claude connector app: Chatty (“Chatty”) is an AI assistant that runs inside your Shopify admin. This policy explains what information Chatty collects when you install and use it, how that information is used, and how to have it deleted.

About this app

Chatty is an independent app built using Anthropic’s Claude APIs. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Anthropic or the Claude brand. A Claude or Anthropic subscription does not include this app: Chatty’s paid plans are a separate subscription, purchased through Shopify Billing and charged on your Shopify invoice.

Information Chatty collects

• Store information — your store name, myshopify domain, contact email, timezone, currency, subscription plan, and product count, read from Shopify when you install and periodically refreshed.
• Product and content data — product, collection, file, and page/blog content read from your store to answer your questions and to draft the edits you ask for.
• Order data — order details from the last 60 days, read only to answer questions about sales. Chatty does not modify orders.
• Chat messages — the messages you send to Chatty and its responses, stored so your conversation history is available when you come back.
• Store health data — catalog scan results and score history generated by Chatty's audit feature.
• Usage data — message and action counts, used to enforce plan limits.

How Chatty uses this information

• To answer your questions using your real store data.
• To draft the specific edits you ask for and show them to you as a before/after preview. Nothing is changed on your store until you click Approve.
• To run Store Health scans and show how your score changes over time.
• To enforce the message and feature limits of your billing plan.

Third parties

• Shopify — subscription billing is handled entirely by Shopify. Chatty never collects or stores your payment card details.
• Google Analytics — anonymous usage statistics (which pages of the app are viewed) to help us improve the product. No store data, chat content, or customer data is sent to Google.

Chatty does not sell your data, and does not share it with anyone beyond what's listed above.

Storage and security

Data is stored in MongoDB Atlas and encrypted in transit. Access is restricted to the infrastructure that runs Chatty.

Data retention and deletion

Data is kept for as long as Chatty is installed on your store. Uninstalling Chatty automatically and permanently deletes your store record, session data, and chat history. You can also request deletion at any time using the contact details below.

Children's privacy

Chatty is a business tool for Shopify merchants and is not directed at children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
